After years of unsuccessfully stabbing floors with the aluminum tip that came with my endpin, I decided to come up with a solution. On my lathe I created an attachment which is secured to the endpin by means of three setscrews. Onto this, I can screw on replaceable needle-point tips which I turned from work-hardened 316 Stainless. Now I can feel at ease on hard wood floors, linoleum, carpet, or tile.
