Everything on this page was created using an oxypropane torch with soft glass.
Marbles:
Trying to make truly spherical marbles is extremely challenging, but very rewarding! This medium is unique, because the optical properties of the round surface magnify the inner colors, creating a radically different appearance from every angle.

Long Beads:
I made these by stretching out “stringers” and applying them onto a cylinder on a mandrel. Then I heated the assembly causing the “stringers” to sag.

Drips:
Here, I manipulated a glob on a mandrel, letting it grow until it became unstable; then I let it “drip”, and rushed it into the annealing kiln.
